SiteSwap Ireland is operated by Patrick O’Sullivan as an individual, using the SiteSwap name. This service connects people advertising construction materials, tools and equipment in the Republic of Ireland.

These terms cover your use of the platform. The agreement to buy an advertised item is between the buyer and seller; SiteSwap does not own, inspect or supply those items.
When registering or claiming a profile, you agree to these terms and must have the legal capacity and authority to use the service. Provide accurate details, verify your email and protect your password. Tell us promptly if your account is compromised.
Choose a business account if selling as a trader. A business must not describe itself as a private seller to avoid its obligations. Business details are supplied by the user; an account label or verified email does not certify a business or its goods.
Our staff may prepare a seller profile or listing with the seller's permission. The seller can ask for corrections or removal, and must complete verification before taking ownership of an account. Staff assistance is not an endorsement of the seller.
You must own the item or have permission to offer it. Describe its price, quantity, condition, defects, location and collection or delivery arrangements accurately. Keep availability current and mark unavailable goods appropriately.
Do not offer stolen, counterfeit, recalled, unlawful or unsafe goods, asbestos-containing materials, hazardous waste, or items whose sale requires permissions you do not hold. Follow our prohibited items rules.
Buyers should inspect goods, verify specifications and seek competent advice about their proposed use. A listing does not establish that reused materials are structurally suitable or meet building standards. Sellers remain responsible for legally required product information and safety obligations.
Buyers and sellers agree payment, collection, delivery and the sale directly. SiteSwap does not currently provide checkout, escrow, delivery or a buyer-protection guarantee. Contact the seller first about an item, delivery, cancellation or refund; report suspected fraud or unsafe conduct to us.
When a trader sells to a consumer, applicable consumer rights remain in force, including rights concerning faulty goods and distance sales where relevant. Ordinary consumer protections for purchases from traders generally do not apply to a sale by a private individual; other legal rights can still apply.
The seller is responsible for the sale and its consumer-law obligations. SiteSwap is responsible for operating its own service and handling platform complaints. Nothing here removes rights or responsibilities that the law does not allow us or a seller to exclude.
Irish listing prices are shown in euro. Traders must make the total price and any applicable taxes or extra charges clear before a sale. Basic marketplace use and listings are currently free; any future optional paid feature will show its price and terms before you choose it.
The invoice tool records information entered by a seller. It does not collect or confirm payment, and its current Irish format does not calculate VAT or provide a VAT-invoice service. Sellers must use appropriate records for their own tax and accounting requirements.
Results normally show the newest available listings first. Your search and category, price, condition or location filters affect which items appear. Sort options can change the order by price or distance where a location is supplied. There are currently no paid ranking boosts.
Reviews reflect users' opinions. SiteSwap does not verify that every reviewer bought or used the goods. Do not post fabricated reviews, harassment, discriminatory content or private information about another person.
You keep ownership of your content and give SiteSwap permission to store, display and format it to operate the service. Only upload content you have the right to use. Do not misuse messaging, send spam, attempt unauthorised access or interfere with the platform.
We may remove content or restrict accounts for safety, unlawful activity or breaches of these rules. We will explain action where reasonably possible, unless doing so would undermine an investigation or legal obligation. Contact us if you believe a decision is wrong.
Use the report controls or email contact@siteswap.ie with the listing/profile link, the issue and relevant evidence. We can investigate platform conduct but cannot guarantee recovery of money paid directly to someone else.
We take reasonable care in providing SiteSwap, but maintenance, technical problems and third-party failures may interrupt it. We cannot promise that a listing is accurate or that a transaction will complete. Responsibility for loss depends on applicable law; we do not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
You may stop using the service and delete your account through settings. See our Privacy Policy for data handling and deletion. We will explain material changes to these terms before they apply where practicable; changes do not rewrite completed sales. Any mandatory consumer rights and protections available to you continue to apply.
